Mobile App Loader
Instrument Connect Mobile Application is a mobile app that shares the data collected from our users instruments. This app is a mobile version of the web app Instrument Connect.

INTRO
How could we create an easy flow to connect instruments to Thermo Fisher Cloud?
For this feature I created a first time flow connecting an intermediate device between the phone and the cloud service.
I needed to have context of the back end behavior and the way this would all connect. After reviewing that I created and experience and animated the loader to be used across of all Thermo Fisher Cloud apps with Adobe After Effects and exported to use by the developers with the bodymovin plug in.

Easy and short on-boarding
This process must be straight forward and quick for the users
Compatible
It should be compatible with both iPhone and Android OS
DESIGN PROCESS
I worked with development teams in India and Mexico to understand the capabilities of both OS and how the technology that was still being developed could become a constraint in the user experience of this on-boarding. It was important for the app to detect hardware connections and for them to reflect in different paths that our users can take. I also created a Marvel prototype to showcase the interactions

CONCLUSION
This project helped me to not only think about the users’ needs and context, it is important to know the technology they interact with and what type of interactions are possible. I was very fortunate to have a development team that could guide me with their expertise.
